Sarajevo
This series of photographs unveils Sarajevo over a few years, approaching it as a composite of traditional and contemporary influences, sprinkled by hectic tourist curiosity. It was exhibited in Switzerland at Printemps Culturel Neuchâtel in 2017.
However, to make the project complete, I arranged my work in the two-notebook bilingual piece, which carries the city’s name. The short essay, which opens the publication, is an attempt to map the city’s important topographies, as seen through both emotional and historical prisms. It’s author is Maša Seničić, a friend and a collaborator; we both walked and talked through Sarajevo, in separate and joint travels. In this sense, the text and the photographs breathe separately.
Metaklinika studio is responsible for the design and the layout. Print copies will be available later this year.
