Hello, I am Nemanja Knežević and my starting point is Belgrade, Serbia.
For more than 10 years I have been working as a freelance photographer with a variety of clients and friends, including daily newspapers and fashion magazines, web magazines, music festivals, international companies, corporations and associations.
I enjoy sharing my workspace and partnering up with local businesses, studios and creative hubs, while I have also been a dedicated team-member in contemporary art and media initiatives.
When I work towards a joint aim, I am quick and balanced, depending on the setting and the background of my partners. I appreciate thought out briefs and commitment of my associates, and I feel most comfortable in a surrounding which encourages responsibility and mutual effort. In personal projects, my approach is straightforward: I walk and watch. I do not presuppose situations, but look out for them.
Also, I am a co-founding member of Belgrade Raw, an unassuming photo collective noting down the rough side of everyday cityscape, at the same time organizing unconventional workshops all around Serbia and being involved in various activities transcending the borders of photography.
